Palatability and physical properties of potassium-binding resin

Read here how palatability was assessed during two study visits, separated by an interval of approximately 14 days.  This allowed taste assessment data from visit 1 to be reviewed before the selection of the formulations to be evaluated during visit 2.

Volunteers were trained by SRLPharma on our “sip and spit” technique and rated the acceptability of the test products using our questionnaire. The acceptability of the characteristics smell, sweetness, bitterness, flavour, mouth feel/texture, grittiness, and aftertaste, as well as overall acceptability were measured
